Terms of Service

The basic terms for using MyVATBridge.

Last updated: 14 March 2026

1. About the service

MyVATBridge is a software platform designed to help businesses and accountants manage VAT MTD workflows, including VAT client records, VAT return preparation, HMRC connections, and related diagnostics. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You must provide accurate account information and update it when it changes.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our own fault.

3. VAT and HMRC responsibilities

  • You are responsible for checking VAT figures, period keys, and declarations before submission.
  • You must only connect HMRC accounts and submit filings where you have the authority to do so.
  • Accountant or agent workflows depend on valid HMRC authorisation and any required agent-services access.
  • HMRC sandbox and production environments may impose their own validation, availability, throttling, and fraud-prevention rules.

4. No tax or legal advice

MyVATBridge provides software and workflow support. It is not a law firm, tax adviser, or accountancy practice by default. Unless separately agreed in writing, nothing in the platform should be treated as legal, tax, or regulated professional advice.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading filings.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with the platform, bypass security, or access data belonging to other users.
  • Do not upload or submit information you are not entitled to use.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or replace features as the product develops. Parts of the service may be in beta, under testing, or dependent on third-party systems such as HMRC. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

7. Data and privacy

Your use of MyVATBridge is also governed by the Privacy Policy. You agree that we may process the data needed to operate accounts, maintain audit logs, connect to HMRC, and meet security or compliance obligations.

8. Intellectual property

The software, branding, layout, and platform content of MyVATBridge remain our property or the property of our licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of the platform to you.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict access if necessary for security, misuse, legal concerns, unpaid fees if billing is introduced later, or to protect the service and other users. You may stop using the service at any time.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not exclude liability where exclusion is not legally allowed, but we are not promising that the platform will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every filing scenario.

You should keep your own copies of working papers, VAT records, and final submissions, and you should review outcomes from HMRC directly where appropriate.

11. Governing law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless another mandatory law applies.
